If you operate a Siemens Enterprise Communication VoIP Solution, there's no way of avoiding the Deployment Service (DLS). The DSL is a central IP-Client Management-Application. This application makes possible to administrate and configurate all Siemens Enterprise Clients as e.g.  OptiPoints, OpenStages and OptiClients, as well as OpenScape Desktop Clients from a central place.  Moreover the DSL offers a central software supply reducing this way expensive service times. Even big IP-Device rollouts can be put into practice in a minimum of time using the Plug&Play-Functionality.
The version 3 of the DLS Solution brings new fascinating features.

XML-Applications

The OpenStage 60/80 equipment have been supporting the XML-Applications seit its introduction on the market. However there are only a few number of Application-Servers with corresponding applications. In the new Version 3, the DSL represents a XML-Application-server and supplies the IP-Devices with the XML-Applications. The DSL has been equipped with a NewsService, a Screensaver-, a RingtoneService as well as with a LocationService. The feature NewsService enables to trigger image and text informations as News in the OpenStage phones. Using the Screensaver- and the RingtoneService, every user is able to download screensavers and ring tones as well as activate them. Using the feature LocationService, the user can change the call number without needing a Service technician.

MultiTenancy

In big customer scenarios different administrators are often responsible for specific areas. The MultiTenancy-Functionality enhances the DLS now to a general multi customer service. Herewith the data (IP-Devices) can be assigned to administrators being able this way to amanage exclusively the assigned data.

New Backup- and Restore Concept

With the new Backup- and Restore Concept new security features have been integrated in the DSL making even safer the operation of the DLS.

64-Bit Kompatibilität

One of the newest technical innovation is the 64-Bit Compability. Herewith the performance of the DLS is considerably increased.
